Council for Accreditation of Online High Schools (CAOHS) is an international accreditation agency that accredits online private high schools running on campus and under distance learning programs.
The Agency's mission is the enhancement of educational quality throughout the region and it strives to improve the effectiveness of institutions by ensuring that institutions meet standards established by the high school education community that address the needs of society and students. It serves as the common denominator of shared values and practices among the diverse institutions all over the United States and other international sites approved by the Agency on Schools that award high school diplomas. The Commission also accepts applications from other international institutions running distance learning programs.
The agency was established to promote and regulate the practices of online schools throughout the United States of America. CAOHS ensures sound educational standards and ethical business practices for all its accredited members.
With its highly refined and recognized accreditation program, CAOHS offers distance learning institutions the most current, relevant and practical services for the 21st century.
There are various institutes that have had themselves accredited from CAOHS, and who now hold the status of being full-fledged CAOHS members. CAOHS also have numerous candidate institutions, whose accreditation cases are being considered. |
